Wisdom 4: 7-13
So, every now and then, we as individuals need to take stock of our lives. Unfortunately, it is only after something drastic happens that we choose to do this. It reminds us that our lives are too short. It matters not when we shall die, but how we shall live.
Our lives are too short for grudges, tiffs, spats, and anger. Our lives should be filled with love and laughter and not of the bickering and animosity that fills us at times. Sometimes it takes the loss of a dear departed loved one for us to realize this.
While the whether is beautiful out, I encourage everyone to find that person you have long held a silent grudge against and offer your own apologies. I encourage you all to find your friends and spend time with them. Do not go back to just your best friends, but all of them. Call, write, or visit, but make sure they know you care.
Finally, Carpe Diem. Make the most out of each day. In our days, there are so many lives that we have the opportunity to touch, the opportunity to improve, the opportunity to save. Wake up each morning and make sure that your goal is to improve the community and lives everywhere you go as many a person before you has done.
