Gator Growl
So, in order to allow people to discuss issues a little bit more I figured I would try and post once a day for now on. Tommorrow, you will see Round 2, if I get in one photo, if not I will take the top facebook photo.
Anyway, Gator Growl has been mentioned a couple of times and even received a Laural from the Editorial Board in the Alligator. Do I know either of these comedians? nope! Did I know Dane Cook? Nope, but he was fantastic.
I don't necessarily agree that the headliners have been horrible. Wayne Brady was good, not great. Bill Engvall was ok, but not good. Sugar Ray was horrible. Bill Cosby was fantastic and of course Jim Bruer was horrible, probably the worst ever that Gator Growl has ever seen.
So what do I think of Jim Gaffigan and Gabriel Iglesias as the comedians. I am fine with it. Honestly, I think that the same students that would go if it was Brady, Engvall, or Bruer will go. There are just certain students that go no matter what. Honestly, I think the skits are the best part of the show and look forward more to them then I do the comedians (even if they are the same jokes year after year). And of course, the fireworks, everyone loves ashes falling on them to see the pretty colors. But if the fireworks aren't there, damn the comedians.

1 Comments:
I'm eternally saddened that no one I talk to is familiar with Monsieur Gaffigan's groundbreaking body of work.
Hence, it is now my sole mission to inform the populace of this man's genius, and probably in the process sell as many Gator Growl tickets as possible.
FBK ought to be paying me. :-D
